Animal control officers regularly work Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Animal control officers are on call for emergencies after regular business hours and on weekends.

Animal Control Code of Ordinances

Running at Large

All animals (excluding cats) are required to be confined by a building, wall, or fence, on a leash, or held in the hands of an owner / keeper. Animals running loose should be reported to the Corsicana Animal Control Office by calling 903-654-4928 or stopping by:
617 S. 12th St.
Corsicana, TX 75110

After hours, if the animal poses a danger to citizens, contact Corsicana Police Department at 903-654-4902.

Animal Bites

Confirmed bites will require a report with information surrounding the incident and the offending animal. This report must be made for quarantine procedures to commence. It is recommended that you contact your doctor if you have been bitten by an animal.

Vicious Animals

An officer will respond to reports of animals that are acting aggressive. All reasonable attempts to capture the animal safely will be made. Safety concerns go first to citizens, officers, and then other animals.

Wildlife

An officer will respond to calls of wildlife in areas where citizen safety is of concern. For fox, raccoons, skunks, bats, or coyotes in a neighborhood during the day call 903-654-4929, and wildlife inside of a residence after hours call 903-654-4902.
