Material Availability
An interlibrary loan involves sharing books and other materials among libraries. Through this cooperation, you have access to many materials that your library does not own. Books on all kinds of subjects are available, as well as photocopies of newspaper and magazine articles, and materials on microfilm. Rare books and very new or very popular books are not available through interlibrary loan.
The wait time for a loan is usually two to three weeks, but the length of time you will have to wait for your loan varies. If you are interested in using this service, please ask any staff member and they will be more than happy to take your request. You may request up to three items at one time.
Fees & Renewals
The only cost to you is the return postage of the book. Usually this ranges from $1 to $2, depending on the size of the book. Renewals are based on the policy of the lending library, but any renewal request must be made through the Corsicana Public Library.
