Visitation (viewing) is from 6pm to 8pm at Scott Funeral Home, 1001 E. MLK Blvd.
Saturday, August 29, 2015
2pm at Northside Baptist Church, 2800 N. Beaton
Due to a very large attendance anticipated, all police officers attending should arrive at least 60 minutes beforehand (1pm) to provide adequate time to be properly seated. Officers will assist with parking and need to know if the officers attending the service plan on attending the graveside service. Police officers attending the graveside service will have their vehicles parked together and those not attending the graveside service will be parked in a different location.
The same parking plan will be utilized for citizens attending the gravesite.
All members of the community are strongly encouraged to arrive at least 30 minutes (1:30pm) prior to the service to provide adequate time to park and be seated.
Due to the anticipated large attendance we estimate the complete service to last at least two to 2 1/2 hours not counting seating time prior to the 2pm start.
Woodland Cemetery
After the funeral service the funeral procession will travel to Woodland Cemetery for the grave site service, which will include a 21-gun salute and Taps.
Again officers will be present to assist with parking, which is limited.
There is no photography or videoing permitted inside Northside Baptist Church at the request of the family.
Photography and videoing is only permitted outside the church.
