[ARCHIVED] Corsicana Mayor’s Background is a Plus to Kerens ISD

Corsicana Mayor Don Denbow has accepted an interim position as the Kerens Independent School District Superintendent on a part-time basis.

Dr. Jason Adams has resigned his position at the school district to take a similar position in Paris, Texas. The district has asked Don Denbow to assist in the day-to-day operations and in their search for a permanent superintendent. Mayor Denbow stated “I am happy to help Kerens in their search for a permanent superintendent. I take my duties as Mayor very seriously, and I am confident I will be able to cover both assignments well.” Mayor Denbow will begin work March 5, 2018, and will most likely continue through this school year, ending in late May.

This is the second time Don Denbow has served as the Kerens ISD Interim Superintendent, he also stepped into the job in September of 2015. From 2004 to 2010 he was Superintendent of the Corsicana Independent School District.
