Overland Flow Facilities

The continued growth of Corsicana established a need for an expansion of the city's sanitary sewerage and treatment facilities. The City of Corsicana built one of the first three overland flow facilities in Texas in 1983. The current facility has approximately 75 acres of overland flow slopes. Pretreatment for the slopes consists of primary sedimentation, an aerated lagoon, and stabilization / storage ponds. Currently, the design capacity of the overland flow facility is one million gallons per day.
